No. Unclaimit LLC is a registered investigator with the California State Controller’s Office. Every claim traces to a public State or county record, and you see the exact fee before you sign.
Nothing upfront, ever. Our fee is a percentage of what is actually recovered, deducted only when the money arrives. If nothing is recovered — including a denied or withdrawn claim — you owe nothing.
Not to search. Your name and past addresses are enough to find and verify a match. If the State later requires identity documents for a specific claim, we tell you exactly what and why.
The search takes about a minute. Your signed packet is typically filed within two to three weeks. The State’s review is the long part — usually one to six months depending on property type.
